The Intimate Portrait:
My most affectionate memories of Portland--the city that raised me all my life--involve two things; skateboarding and rain. Unfortunately the two have a difficult time coexisting. The rain does a good job of digging deep through the layers of the board, and into the bearings. The last day of warm, bright weather is a sorrowful day for the Portland skater. But with this change in weather comes a new feeling of melancholy I've learned to enjoy; staying inside on a rainy day, watching a movie or just relaxing. Rainy weather does a good job of decreasing the guilt of a lazy day.
